The biennial Cru Staff Conference in Colorado was a marvelous time of meeting with and hearing from God through amazing worship, incredible speakers, times of prayer, and friends who have walked with me for many years.
More than 4,500 Cru Staff came and heard from speakers such as pastor Allistair Begg, Lisa Harper of Women of Faith, and James White, senior VP of leadership development for the YMCA of the Triangle Area.
The conference focused on asking God to direct Cru’s ministry. Main sessions and break out sessions provided insight into understanding and ministering to today’s ever-changing culture and sub-cultures. All require humility, authentic love, and great faith.
I also LOVED meeting my international friends from Singapore who I trained in February via Skype, and Lyuba who I will train via Skype this year!!!!
This summer marked my 36th year with Cru and I am more excited than ever about what God has in store! I truly feel a fresh calling to believe God and walk by faith even though I cannot see much of the path ahead. I am excited to continue training others in communication skills, speaking at women’s retreats, getting back in shape musically, and whatever surprises God may have for me. No more living on “auto pilot.” I want to fully engage with God and people.
Thank you for your prayers that I will be courageous and follow wherever God leads with my neighbors, my community, my ministry, and beyond….
