photo copyIt’s a me, it’s a me, it’s a me oh Lord, standin’ in the need of prayer.

Not my brother, not my sister, but it’s me oh Lord,

Standin’ in the need of prayer.

I remember singing this song as a child.   It was a catchy little tune and a comforting thought. But now, like many aspects of life, the power of these words take on deeper meaning.

This month I am grateful to minister in a variety of settings. I need EXTRA prayer cover. Would you be willing to stand with me through prayer for the events listed below?

Spark of Life      March 6-9 (Thurs-Sun)

This weekend Michael and I will be in Tennessee assisting with a grief recovery weekend called Spark of Life. God used this retreat in our lives last summer in a powerful way. We feel privileged to walk alongside those who have experienced tremendous loss. It truly is holy ground. Just last week I attended the funeral of a friend’s Uncle who was murdered. So many unanswered questions. There is deep pain and a lot of soul searching after great loss. There is a battle for the hearts (and minds) of those grieving and this weekend could be the start of living forward for the 18 participants.

Comm Lab      March 11-14 (Tues-Fri)

I absolutely love equipping leaders! Missionaries from across the country will come to Keynote next week for the Comm Lab. I will be coaching 6-8 people during the individualized comm drills helping them discover effective ways to communicate the message God has given them. This is always a stretching time not just for the trainee but for me as well. Please pray that I can uncover the gold within each person & help them grow.

Worship Leading      March 29 (Sat) and April 5 (Sat)

A dear friend asked me lead worship for a Day Away retreat for pastors & laymen. Pray that I will be free to lead in worship. This is the first time in years that I have led worship playing my guitar. I have worked hard to prepare, but I am nervous & don’t want the guitar to be a distraction to me or others. I want God to be the focus!

Throughout this Spring I will continue to refine a new curriculum of our Comm Training and Story classes to be used in outreach settings internationally. I have desired to develop this for 5 years and am very excited to see how God might use this tool to help build relationships in businesses and local communities. With every relationship comes an opportunity for spiritual conversations.  🙂

I cannot thank you enough for partnering with me through your financial support, your friendship, and your prayers.  Know that I pray for you as well and would love to hear from you.

Joyfully His,

Dana
